INDONESIA WELCOMES 2010 I-SWEEEP RUNNER UP

Jakarta - Indonesia welcomes the runner up of the International Sustainable (Energy, Engineering & Environment) Project Olympiad (I-SWEEEP) held in Houston, Texas, USA, from April 14 to 19, 2010.After a series of international achievements of the various states, the students are now returning to Indonesia with 2 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, and the 2nd Honourable Mention from the International Olympiad (I-SWEEEP).

SOUTH SUMATRA'S COAL PRODUCES US$289.3 MILLION IN FOREIGN EXCHANGE

Palembang, S Sumatra - South Sumatra's coal last year produced 289.3 million US dollars in foreign exchange from non-oil/gas exports.Coal has been the second biggest foreign exchange contributor to South Sumatra's non-oil/gas exports after rubber, head of the South Sumatra industry and trade agency H Eppy Mirza said in Palembang Thursday.

STATE RECEIPTS FROM OIL, GAS SECTOR TO REACH RP218 TRILLION

Jakarta - State receipts from the oil and gas sector are likely to meet the target of Rp216.8 trillion set in the 2010 state budget, a Finance Ministry official said."It is likely revenues from the oil and gas sector to reach Rp216.8 trillion," said the Head of the Ministry's fiscal policy board Anggito Abimanyu at a hearing with the House of Representatives' Commission VII at the parliament building here on Thursday.
